Future of windows-Windows 9-market shares
Mary Jo Foley, Microsoft observer, we announced that Windows 8.1 Update 2 is already completed and will be available to the public on August 12 as part of a package of updates that Microsoft releases each month for the operating system Windows, called "Microsoft Patch Tuesday".
Although it is unclear what changes will bring Windows 8.1 Update 2 will likely include performance improvements, fixes and optimizations for software problems running on hardware systems slightly lower due to smaller size. The long awaited "Start Menu" does not appear even after this update, be postponed probably Windows 9, the future operating system (which will be released in spring 2015) focusing on traditional desktop when it will be released on a system with touch screen.
The same Mary Jo Foley says that the future of Windows 9 will be offered from launch in three versions optimized for specific type of computer that will be installed. Windows 9 is currently known under the code name "Threshold".
