So I've decided to give G-Data Internet Security 2013 a spin.... And after a massive 362 MB download , I have installed this product....
After the computer restart ,I wanna it to update the antivirus .... and guess what .... I can't find a way to activate this product as a free 30 days trial.

When trying to update the product or to activate the license,G-DATA is asking me to provide my account username and password....
I wasn't asked at any point to enter my email or any other detail when I've downloaded G-Data Internet Security so from where on earth I could get the username?

I believe 2012 version was the exact same issue.

That aside, client size is still rather massive.

well gdata, bitdefender and trustport have huge installers, that put me off them right away.

Try contacting them:

I was always under the impression that you had to activate it via email :-/

  1. Jack have you tested GData software before?
if so you are you able to log into that account to register?
  2. If No? are you able to create a new account? to register trial
I have heard that there are other testers with the very same trial activation issues

This issue was reported by 7Tutorials too. As Bioz said it persists from the 2012 edition.
