True. Although Emsisoft has 2, and much lighter. Also Vipre, in a way does, and much lighter.
To have 2 “dedicated” engines, in my opinion, is just redundant. Unless the GData engine is just not that good by itself. Might just be a Bitdefender thing…. (Legality wise) ✌️

I tried Emsisoft and it doesnt even work properly (Not free version), i dont know about Vipre but Bitdefender engine itself is already heavy enough. I agree that GData's protection is from %90 Bitdefender Engine. They optimize in future i hope.
 
I dont know what status emsisoft is right now. I couldnt say anything. It was heavier than g-data in old
I've used both. While G Data has relatively improved in terms of performance, it is still one of the heaviest products.

Emsisoft has improved a lot in terms of performance. It is not the lightest, but it is not heavy either.
