This version 7 upgrade brings you Firefox Focus powered by our new and improved "GeckoView" browser engine which allows us to bring you a faster and more secure browsing experience.

Older versions of Firefox Focus were built on the native Android Webview browser engine, which allowed us to expedite its early development, but limited its growth. While this new GeckoView engine increases Firefox Focus's size from 4MB to 38MB, we are committed to keep it as streamlined as possible. GeckoView will allow faster updates so you can get new features powered by GeckoView soon.
