GhostCtrl, virus that disguises WhatsApp or Pokémon GO and controls your mobile

Mobile viruses are becoming more and more common, so you need to be aware of new viruses. In this case, it is GhostCtrl, a type of virus that takes advantage of a newly discovered Android vulnerability. Unfortunately for users, there are three variants of this virus, each more harmful.

Virus Characteristics
The company Trend Micro is the one that has given the voice of alarm through its blog, alerting of the characteristics of this virus with different variants. This virus disguises itself from legitimate apps like WhatsApp or Pokémon Go. Once downloaded, the virus installs specific malware to control the operation of Android.

Once infected, the phone is at the mercy of the hacker. It can then perform actions of all kinds: monitor movements in real time, send messages to contacts, modify system files and much more. In other words, the user loses full control of the phone.
