Why did we make GlassWire for Android?
We wanted a similar network monitoring application for our own Android phones but we were shocked to find a lot of the data usage apps we tested sent quite a bit of data over the network themselves.

Thanks Spawn, I ticked yes, I own Pro, but I don't always have it in use on my PC.
I heard this was coming, but forgot all about it, so I am glad you posted this

Currently I don't use it but some time ago I tested GW for PC.
It slows down a bit the boot process and it keeps active some processes, if I well remember about 30 to 40 MB RAM.
Not so heavy anyway.

Nice UI and very stable, you have a lot of info about active connections and their destinations.
The free version is a bit limited, of course.

Your GlassWire data usage and app usage information never leaves your phone. We could not see or access your app usage even if we wanted to. Plus, we’re not an advertising or marketing company. We only make money through sales of premium versions of our software.

This is the information I wanted to hear, no real privacy issue it seems.

I'll pass... run at startup is lazy and unnecessary and the other permissions if not needed should not be there at all. Maybe they will improve it and I will try it out eventually/later
