GlassWire is a free network monitor & security tool with a built in firewall.
You'll be shocked by how many applications on your computer are sending your private data over the Internet without you knowing. Once suspicious activity is detected you can block the potential threat with GlassWire's built in firewall management tool. GlassWire visualizes all your network activity on an easy to use graph. Click anywhere on the graph to see what applications and hosts are accessing the network from your computer.

The only thing wrong with GW is single-user mode. Ken G has promised they'll look at multi-user as soon as the 2.0 update is released... This is a seriously good network monitor and I get withdrawal symptoms because I can't yet put it beside VS :(

Yes, on multi-user mode the GW background processes are active, but there is no icon in the notification area.
You have to start again GW to see it really active.
