GNU.org has a category on its website named “Philosophy of the GNU Project,” where the Microsoft software is described as malware, along with Apple and Amazon.
It’s not all that clear why these statements exist on the GNU.org website, even if it’s powered by FSF (Free Software Foundation). Moreover, all of this information is listed under Philosophy of the GNU Project, making it even more out of place.

FPS says that Windows systems have a hidden backdoor and that in Windows 10 that backdoor is used to install updates automatically, Windows 8 can remotely deactivate programs, Microsoft continues to nag users to install Windows 10, the company informs NSA first about security issues before addressing them, and Microsoft cut off security fixes for Windows XP, with the exception of a few paying companies.

They have some good points on the big companies being forceful with their users but their intentions are almost never malicious. GNU is probably trying to convince users to make the swap to their software.

M$ will do whatever is demanded of it by the US government - even it means throwing every single Windows user on the planet under the bus...

Instead of "hating" on Linux or Windows here I'm going to hate on both:
1. Nobody has found any intentional back doors in Windows (yet). The same applies to Linux.
2. Who really checks the source code of every open source application they install? Who compiles it with exactly the same settings and same compiler version and then takes a look at the binaries and their checksums?
3. Who guarantees me that the code doesn't contain any hidden functionality? There are thousands of ways, often in a convoluted mess, to write code.
4. One some projects there are hundreds of participating coders, all with different languages and writing styles does anybody really believe that there is nobody with malicious intent? MS can do a background check of somebody, the open source community? Not so much...

Why can't they just accept that Windows still has the upper hand on desktop systems and be happy for them? Does every application/OS/phone community have some kind of superiority complex? I just don't get why people must hate on other people's tastes.
/end of rant

Oops, that got longer than expected.
