Google illegally spied on workers before firing them, US labor board says

The US National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against Google alleging the tech giant violated American labor laws by spying on workers who were organizing employee protests, and then firing two of them.

The NLRB found Google fired the two in late 2019 in connection with employee activism. It said Google’s policy against staff after looking at certain coworkers’ calendars is illegal.
