Yes, I understand that now. There can be many things that can cause this message. For me, it is what causes it but some people it is extensions.

If reducing ad blocking level on uBO Lite solved the problem, then it's probably the extension triggering captcha because it blocked something and made Google suspicious. Enabling stronger fingerprinting protection will also get you way more captchas because then website can't really prove it's you.
They do have reCAPTCHA V3 which works in background and analyzes your behavior. However, not a lot of websites use it and instead still rely on reCAPTCHA V2. Also... these traffic lights, cars, motorcycles, fire hydrants and crosswalks aren't here just to prove you're human. When you solve the captcha by selecting correct images, you're helping Google train their AI and autonomous driving system. Hence why you aren't asked to select pictures with cookies, milk or flower, rather than stuff related to driving and roads.
Well, depends because there are multiple mechanisms that check the user, not just behavior. When I used Brave, I didn't get them much, though I could see people complaining to Brave team about getting more captchas than in other browsers.
Did not use Brave for a while, but I think it is related to enabling anti-fingerprinting option in the shield.

This is likely caused by the extension preventing G from gathering all of the usual browser info, i.e., for fingerprinting, tracking, etc.
AI is constantly learning and evolving; you can never have enough data. reCAPTCHA V3 doesn't train the AI, but V2 does. I think I saw the news of reCAPTCHA V3 when it came out. How come google themselves don't use reCAPTCHA V3 on google(.)com? My main issue is that I have to click those trafficlights when I search on Google in browser's private/incognito mode.
If G used any other expression than "unusual traffic" I would suspect the extension is the cause; using such expression made me think I may have some security breach.
