Hello,
My name is Bob, from Connecticut (USA).

I was directed to this site from someone who unfortunately was persuaded to download Windows 7 Defender Plus 2013. It is now playing havoc with her computer.

I would appreciate input from anyone familiar with this monstrosity, willing to share his/her experiences, advice, or success stories removing it completely from their system.

And I'll give back in any way I can to help you as well.

Hey there Bob, try running Malwarebytes and Emsisoft Emergency kit in Normal Mode (If that does not work try Safe Mode) and see if it detects anything. If does delete all the files and use CCleaner to remove all the registry files it left behind. After you have finished cleaning your system do a scan again to make sure you don't have any traces left.
