Hello everyone. I have been working on computers ever since the Commador PET. Then graduated to a TRS80 Model IV, then to IBM XT system with a whopping 20 megabyte hard drive. Been going with DOS then WINDOWS ever since. I recently purchased a high powered laptop from HP containing Windows 8.1 and have been battling viruses ever since, about two months.
I have been involved with fighting viruses ever since John McAfee came out with the first anti-virus program. YES I am ancient by computer standards & by people standards. I have been very good at fighting viruses throughout the years but since switching to this new Win 8.1 machine I have not been able to win. So I will be posting very soon to the Malware help forum.
I am also looking forward to coming back up to speed on fighting viruses and would appreciate any help any of you pro s could give, not just for removing the malware that has buried deep into my system but because I loved doing that when I was working in the industry.
