I'd love to assist you with your malware issue, however the forum has rules specifying only a Malware Removal Expert (who are staff members) can contribute towards helping people with malware infections:

You can visit the MRA on this forum if you have any issues with malware, and create a new thread where a expert malware removal assistant will help you: http://malwaretips.com/forums/malware-removal-assistance.10/

If you would like a quick introduction to navigating this forum, please see the following spoiler.
You can checkout the giveaways section and see if you can win any free security licenses here: http://malwaretips.com/categories/software-giveaways-and-promotions.118/ ;)

You can watch reviews from members of this forum and others on other products (security products, usually) here: http://malwaretips.com/categories/reviews-section.27/

Always nice to meet good people, even if under gruesome circumstances. :)

Now, back to my (other) topic... My initial scan is not going according to plan, but I seem to have multiple copies of the chrome malware fighting for control. It isn't pretty.

Coffee is king!

You said it Sister!!:D

The magical elixir which I refer to as my other vitamin 'C' is a gift from the gods, and it also makes the difficulties of "gruesome circumstances" considerably easier to bear.
Thank you, bridget, for joining us in the lovely world of Malware Tips which is yours now too, caffeinated or not.
I hope your problem will be rectified soon.:)

Edit: I'll take a bit of Canadian / Irish "hunter" coffee, medicinally of course!;)

This time of day, my vitamin C of choice is of the Chardonnay variety. Figure, I'm not driving, and until this is fixed, I'm not surfing either!

Whiskey brings out the Irish in me. Fiesty, funny, but usually illogical.

Fresh, homemade whiskey sours, salted whiskey caramels... I do have a few uses for it. :)

I will be staying a while and sharing. Going through the recommended readings atm. The kid wrecked the other computer, have to get that fixed and taking browser recommendations so I can keep it (and mine) working this time around. Kid might also be responsible for my current woes. Which seem to be resolved....
