64bit W7 Home Premium, machine is "Cyberpower mid-level gamer" w/ 4 core AMD processor and 4 G RAM.
I was an early Unix/Linux advocate. I selected and installed equipment and software for "thin wire" ethernet network in WCU CS dept with Linux servers. Wrote CS supplements for man C++ texts for AW and other publishers using Word up to retirement in 04.

I switched to OpenOffice.org then to LibreOffice when Oracle bought Sun.

Since retiring, I have done nothing with computers except Windows systems (XP then W7).

Now I play classical music (double bass in 5th tuning) solo (at a local hospital), orchestral, and chamber music.

We plan to switch to W10 before the year is out, but not soon and with advice from trusted friends.

I need to tighten up security on my computers and my wife's computer. I am considering replacing MSSE + MBAM with ESET + MBAM, and MBAE.
