I've had Firefox hanging and crashing problems for far too long. I tried to figure it out on my own, but I've grown frustrated and I'd like to get back to my regularly scheduled life now. So if someone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am not sure what needs to be known. The most basic info: Running Windows 7 Home Premium, PC Tools Firewall Plus, Malwarebytes, Avast. A couple of weeks ago, I installed and ran aswMBR, ESET, FSS and combofix. I saw nothing that looked alarming (not saying much, since I really don't know much of what should be considered alarming), so I set my computer woes aside.
This morning, I downloaded and ran Farbar Recovery Scan Tool. I am concerned about the plethora of sites listed in the additions.txt log under "Internet Explorer trusted/restricted." Sex and porn sites? Hmmm.
This began as a hunt for Firefox hanging and crashing, but it appears it may be something more ominous. So, yes, if someone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
