Ever wondered whether an iPhone could survive being sucked out of a depressurized commercial aircraft at 16,000 feet? Me neither. But now we know.

Among all the shocking information that’s come out in the wake of the recent incident with an Alaska Airlines plane rapidly depressurizing after losing an emergency exit door plug, nobody was expecting an ultimate iPhone drop test. Seanathan Bates, who was in the area near where the incident occurred, posted some shocking photos on X after finding a perfectly intact iPhone that had been yanked from its owner in the plane.

I suppose there is a point where it hits its maximum speed velocity for its size and weight, let alone landing in the brush. So in a way, it doesn't surprise me. The real acid test in my case is when I'm getting out of the car and drop 4'-5' and it hits the concrete garage floor, will the screen crack? :)

This is really funny except that the reason for this nightmare is Boeing lobbying its way out of safety regulations in Congress. Not so funny for the terrified passengers on board.

The real story should be this. --> Never fly a 737 Max. They're dangerous despite all the propaganda. Word.

I remember learning it in high school physics. This phenomenon is called Terminal Velocity. Don't remember all the details at this moment but just remember that it's the reason why rainfall doesn't hurt us. The maximum velocity is can reach isn't high enough.

Humans were not born to fly, so any attempt can involve danger:eek:
