Hello,

I have been dealing with 3 registry PUPs that keep popping up in my malwarebytes scan every so often. I run a scan and quarantine the problems only to find them again the next day. They seem to be quarantined because I re-scan after I quarantined them and nothing is found, but I would run it again a good bit of time later (Within 24 hours) and it will pop up again. I read some that some other people had the same problem. I downloaded Farbar Recovery Scan tool and uploaded the FIRST.txt and Addition.txt. Please let me know what I should do about this? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Can you tell me what is MalwareBytes detecting? There is a option to export your findings and/or to copy them to clipboard. Then you can paste the results here.

Yes, here is a scan that I just ran. Now its detecting 4 PUPs. I didnt notice it had something to do with yahoo (Maybe toolbar?). I'm going to look at the programs installed and maybe remove one. Would this be the correct way to fix this?

Sorry for the late reply, I was away for work. Here are the scan reports from both programs, although I saved the software to my partition in my hard drive I made for software. I hope that didn't make a difference.

Should I uninstall these 2 programs since they seem to be useless?

I ran a farbar scan on my first post, do you need me to run it again? I also ran Zemana again.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.
