After trying numerous things to counter "Lasuperba ads virus", nothing has worked.

Random advertisements with "powered by dauguva/lasuperba" stated below, random pop-ups that are not blocked with pop-up blocker appear. This is that virus.

I already saw the guide posted here and every other guide I've seen thus far via google, and none of these steps worked. The "Lasuperba" virus remained. I used Malwarebytes anti-malware, adwcleaner, Hitman Pro, etc, and nothing thus far worked. I even tried to dig into registry manually and the advertisements continue to show up. After running AdwCleaner they didn't give me a scan log and simply told me to restart computer, which they said there would be a scan log but nothing appeared. The only thing that temporarily worked was Malwarebytes anti-malware which fixed the issue for a few hours until the advertising appeared again.

Any help would be appreciated, and this bug only affects my capabilities to search the web. My computer drastically lags and can't run at all with these advertisements popping everywhere and random crap like "congrats you're the 1000000000000000th person here" or "you have to update your windows" kind of stuff. I don't know what I can use to permanently keep this virus down.

Thanks for any help and comments.

Hello,

They call me TwinHeadedEagle around here, and I'll be working with you.

Before we start please read and note the following:
  • At the top of your post, please click on the "Watch thread" button and make sure to check Watch this thread...and receive email notifications. This will send an email to you as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing me to solve your problem faster.
  • Please do not install any new software during the cleaning process other than the tools I provide for you. This can hinder the cleaning process. Please do not perform System Restore or any other restore.
  • Instructions I give to you are very simple and made for complete beginner to follow. That's why you need to read through my instructions carefully and completely before executing them.
  • Please do not run any tools other than the ones I ask you to, when I ask you to. Some of these tools can be very dangerous if used improperly. Also, if you use a tool that I have not requested you use, it can cause false positives, thereby delaying the complete cleaning of your machine.
  • All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
  • If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
  • I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
  • Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.
  • Please attach all report using
    fjqb1h.png
button below. Doing this, you make it easier for me to analyze and fix your problem.

  • Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay for the repair.
  • If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.

Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Thanks for the reply Twineagle. :)

I have done all that you've asked, here are the files. Symptoms like links linking to places that are advertising and other similar things are happening, even when attempting to go to download that farbar scanner.

After doing what you've said, this happens:

Zoek.exe v5.0.0.0 Updated 23-09-2015
Tool run by Computer on Wed 09/23/2015 at 22:55:30.83.
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 x64
Running in: Normal Mode Internet Access Detected
Launched: C:\Downloads\zoek.exe [Scan all users] [Script inserted]

===== Runcheck 22:55:44.64 =====

--- Create Environment Variables 22:55:45.83
--- Create System Restore Point 22:55:53.74
--- Checking Input 22:56:12.66

And then it stops and does nothing. No report, and can't close it till I shut down.

Have done as you said but the entire computer locked me out and now I don't have any zoek-results file and it states that my version of Windows 7 is not genuine. Contacted Microsoft, they say that anything I have atm could be a virus and I should not contact any number stated, etc, and that I will have to do a full system reinstall. I don't know what happened but zoek has screwed over my entire computer atm and I only barely got it to go back to previous format. Lasuperba ads are still everywhere.

We can perform System Restore. Is your PC usable now?

Part about Windows is not genuine you need to solve with Microsoft, there is a small chance that Zoek could steal your license :D

My PC is fine atm, and the lasuperba ads are not appearing at all. It seems that my system restore took all of that out of the picture, but if it comes back I will go back to this thread. Thank you TwinEagle for the guidance. :)
