You're not really replacing Google when you use other SE, because they are usually powered-by Google/Bing/Yahoo etc.
 
Hmm... its likely they didn't include Youtube since its already bought by Google even before so the privacy issue is exist too.
 
The fact of the matter is that Google is offering some very good services so I wouldn't have any good reasons to 'divorce' them...
Usually when a guy divorces his wife , he has a hot mistress but in this case Bing is far far away from being any good.
I remember reading a post from iPanik when he said that Google is very one of the monitored company on the web..and overall I tend to agree....
 
I use whichever service is most convenient/ works the best for my needs. I really don't care which company is running it. Picking products based on who's designing them doesn't make sense.

Agreed that is what I do as well. If Yahoo doesn't have what I need then I move onto Google. You also think 2 of the biggest website are owned by Google, Twitter and YouTube. That's where they get the money from.
 
Although I don't agree or like google's policies, you really can't beat google apps and google voice. On top of those 2 great programs nobody can beat google at it's search game which most alternatives just piggyback on, even bing does it.
