A few clicks to remove the AVG Security Toolbar.

Please make sure all web browsers are closed before proceeding.

Open the AVG 2012 GUI > Tools > Remove AVG Security Toolbar

If successful the location below should not contain any AVG folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files

The AVG Security Toolbar should now be removed from your system.

If you remove the Toolbar you'll still get the LinkScanner protection right?

Correct.

Considering you can't uninstall it from the Add/Remove or Program and Features, it makes sense that you are given the choice to remove it from the AVG LinkScanner GUI.

That's a better way, since toolbar are just changing for the homepage.
