Heffe, if you read my posts again, maybe you ll get what I meant. On my first post in the thread, I thanked a couple of our friends for the heads up about Google search History, on my second post I was replying to McLovin who was talking about something else.

I realize your level for understanding things is pretty low right now. You are the one whose confused, not me, I have my browser set to "Never remember History" for a long time and removing Google search History or Youtubes history has nothing to do with it. If you have your browser set like I do, Google search and Youtubes History is still being kept unless with put it on pause. If you don't get it now (what I meant previously), maybe my English is terrible or something. I don't know.

McLovin mentioned that it's better to search in privacy, and you responded that your browser was set to not remember history. Searching in privacy so Google can't keep track of your searches has absolutely nothing to do with your browser history, so I said as much. Then you responded that it would have been smart if I had stated why it has nothing to do with your browser history, so I did so.

So yes, since you're now saying that's not what you meant, I guess I am confused...

No harm done.

The reason I mentioned that I have Firefox set not to remember History when McLovin mentioned the word privacy is because Firefox uses the same settings as private browsing when the browser is set not to remember History.

Look at the middle of the picture.

My first post was clear that I was talking about something else, as I said "Got rid of my Google Search History and Youtube search and playing History". You should know as I know that doing that can not be done by setting Firefox "to never remember History".

'There is no need to worry about Google's tracking practices. Here is what I do each day. To start off my browsing, I just spend a few moments clicking on the website of a corporation or organization that I do not like. The remainder of the day and for several additional days, ads for that company appear on every site that I visit.

Fight the tracking tools by giving them bad data to work on and make companies and organizations you do not care for pay the price for their hubris. If everyone started doing this, then the privacy data these companies glean would no longer hold the value that would make it worth tracking.'

As far as I know it takes effect this Thursday, but I'm not sure.

There is some software that more-or-less does this for you. Breadcrumbs Privacy Solutions

It basically watches for when you are inactive and browses the internet for you. The idea is that there is so much useless data generated, anyone trying to figure out your actual interests or web activity will have a tough time of it.

Thank you HeffeD. Good idea of this Breadcrumbs Privacy Software! - but System Requirements: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or above. That's bad for me ..;)
