HOW TO SPEED UP YOUR FIREFOX BROWSER​

Today i'm going to tell you about How To Speed Up Your Firefox Web Browser.This Firefox tricks will improve the speed & load time of firefox.And you will be able to surf faster.

Type about:config in the firefox address bar, Then look for the following entries, and make the corresponding changes.

network.http.max-connections-per-server =32
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy =16
network.http.max-connections = 64
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 10
network.http.pipelining = true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 200
network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0
network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
network.http.proxy.version = 1.0


Lastly right-click anywhere and select New- Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.that's all.now you can browse internet with more speed.

I think some get used to using one version of a browser with all the extensions they have been accustomed to.New versions change the look and feel and some extensions arent compatible with newer releases.So,they opt to stick with what they are used to.From a security standpoint you should upgrade your browser,since this is the reason for many updates.

That is pretty much what I thought. I just needed a second opinion since I was not absolutely sure. Thanks for the rapid response.

Note that if you make the connection tweaks, you're going to make yourself very unpopular with the server hosts. (Assuming they haven't already blocked the number of allowed connections from a single IP address...)

Is it really worth it to (possibly) improve your browsing speed at the expense of other users? If you're taking more than your fair share of connections on an already overloaded server, you're not doing anyone any favors...

This works for older version of Firefox. Instead of using about:config there is an addons that do very much the same called FasterFox Lite which provide several optimization level and restore function.

I'm with HeffeD on this, A more respectful method for speeding up websites you visit would to turn your browsers cache into a flash cache using a free program like RAMDisk, I have a guide on how to setup RAMDisk here.

I have eBoostr to cache my browser also since i have limited ram.
RAMDisk is good too even for modern machine.

I hear what you guys are saying, but the ISP's and servers need to get their arses in gear and facilitate an environment that handles demand, not charge a person for internet access, and then whine that they did not charge them enough. Besides that, those jerks at AT&T love capping data plans anyway, and that is becoming malignant, so they will have it their way no matter what we do. Even if we pay penalties for overage and bandwidth hogging, they will still penalize us by slowing down our internet sessions even after we are charged more. Maybe if enough of us get locked up for breaking one or two of the many new cyber laws, things will speed up so long as there is not high speed internet in our respective prison camp.

My thing would be, it's because users have addons that they have that they want to keep using and they might only work with older versions of browsers. I personally update to the latest as soon as it comes out, because if I don't I know I would forget.

That guide you have made worked wonders for me. Improved the speed with out doing anything being said in this thread.

If you already have a decent system and fast ISP, these tweaks will probably not make any difference possibly even have a negative impact.

Mozilla setup defaults are best in most situations.

I like your thinking on this.
I have a terrible ISP, so I may give it a shot just for the heck of it.
I must say that Mozilla is doing a fine job for me, but I can never get enough cyber speed. I have wireless, so there is plenty of speed that I will never have the luxury of witnessing, at least as far as surfing goes.
