That's all I need for an old PC, I never get any bad stuff... I rarely ever go into unknown territory. I've had unwanted stuff before when I was more naive but they were never bad and always simple to remove... maybe some uwanted toolbar or something like that.

Username is required in security config thread title I have edited it for you.
I would consider at least one or two on demand scanners
CCleaner or Privazer if not already installed
Some type of back up solution

Hi, I suggest you to install Malwarebytes, Hitman pro for more protection.
Then you can install a software backup such as Paragon Image Backup and for privacy & optimization you can install CCleaner and PrivaZer.
Finally you can install MPC-HC instead of VLC, because it is faster and better, thanks for sharing it ;)

1) Why Windows 8 only? Any reason for not upgrading to 8.1 then alongside of free upgrade reservation to Windows 10?

2) Consider other browser like Google Chrome or Opera in case Firefox ran into some problems.

Windows 8.1 but just put down 8. Not upgrading to windows 10 too fast.

Nah I'm alright... you people are just paranoid lol I don't take too many risks online anyways, plus my PC is kinda old.
