Install Comodo Internet Security without Bloatware worries

As you know Comodo Internet Security comes in at ~200MB download, because of the extra baggage. What if you only want the Internet Suite? You could perform a custom installation, or..

This is cispremium_installer.exe at 201MB.

This is what you get; 'Comodo Internet Security with GeekBuddy and Dragon', not to mention Secure DNS and PrivDog later on, with browser changing settings.

Using the following method you can get JUST the Internet Suite without the bloat-ware or performing a custom install, see above. Once downloaded CIS from their website.

1. Extract cispremium_installer.exe with 7-zip or other similar software.

2. Locate the 'cis' folder from X:\cispremium_installer\cis\download\installs\xml_binaries\

3. Open the 'cis' folder and find two installers named, cis_setup_x64.msi and cis_setup_x86.msi

This is cis_setup_x64.msi at ~52MB:

This is cis_setup_x86.msi at ~44MB:

4. Execute the correct installer accordingly for your OS.

• Windows 64-bit use cis_setup_x64.msi
• Windows 32-bit use cis_setup_x86.msi

This is what you now get; 'Comodo Internet Security Setup Wizard':

Once you have installed CIS, reboot and update the virus definitions.

Thanks for sharing! It seems that Comodo comes with tons of bloatware these days. I will definitely be going this route the next day I ever try out Comodo again!

i just use the customize installation link, simple enough.. Things like Killswitch/CCE do not install unless you download them. You can unselect all the other.

You do not need Dragon or Silverlight. I have neither and the Kiosk works fine. Silverlight just enables a tablet like user interface. The Kiosk is secure without the extras.

This is very good a Comodo IS without geekbudy (=bloat !adware ! danger!) and comodo dragon (a secured web browser = 3 addons(privdog)) !
