It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

Intego is an American antivirus company.
Formerly reserved for Mac owners, the publisher has opened a Windows version in partnership with the German company Avira.
The software is designed to be easy to use and lightweight.
Let's see what it's worth.

User interface :
Intego's interface is elegant and designed for novices, as very few settings are available (spoiler: it really doesn't have any!).
On the other hand, it only offers a 7-day trial, which isn't enough.
In terms of RAM consumption, it's relatively light.

Web protection: 9/9
Intego only reacts to file execution, probably to save system resources.
But it was able to block all downloads.
Its Web filtering is, unfortunately, poor.

Fake crack : 1/1
Intego has blocked all files.

Malware Pack : Remaining 34 files out of 165.
Intego's weakness is clearly visible.
Even though it's based on Avira, it doesn't exploit Avira's full potential, and even lags behind its partner's antimalware and Cloud definitions.
Detection of unknown malware is totally non-existent.
Intego will do what it can, but you end up with a very infected machine.
Can do better...

Final scan :
Intego : 0
Malwarebytes : 39
NPE : 11
KVRT : 16 (Infection memory !! )

Final opinion:

Intego certainly has a nice interface and a solid partner, but it doesn't make the most of it.
The software is inefficient, inconsistent and unable to intercept emerging threats because it lags behind in detection.
I don't recommend it.

Thank you for your detailed review. It's clear that while Intego has some strengths, such as a user-friendly interface and web protection, it falls short in important areas like malware detection. Your feedback will be valuable to potential users making an informed decision.
