Hey guys,
My name is Cameron and I am the owner of Spam404. I am 19 and from the United Kingdom. I am currently studying Computer and Information Security at University (equivalent to college if you're from the US).
I found this very interesting community through analyzing malware (a link on VirusTotal to be exact). I believed I could contribute a lot to the community so went ahead and registered.
Spam404 is a website I created in 2013 which has two main components. The components being a blacklist of known abusive domains and also a facility for internet users to report abusive content such as phishing, spam, scams, malware etc.
The blacklist includes over 5,600 domains is currently implemented by VirusTotal, MyWOT, AegisLab, URLVoid ScamVoid and uBlock. This blacklist is also available as an AdBlock filter list - http://www.spam404.com/blog/block-online-scams-with-spam404-and-adblock
The abusive content reporting side of Spam404 is mildly successful receiving hundreds of reports per day. This service has particularly helped user-generated content platforms such as Weebly (over 14,400 takedowns - http://www.spam404.com/weebly.html) and YouTube (over 2.5 million takedowns - http://yt.spam404.com/action-changelog.html).
I look forward to sharing my knowledge, expanding on it and getting to know the community more!
Cameron
