They are playing hard to get, trying to point people in the direction of the paid options, it's quite misleading and not a nice tactic. This url worked for me earlier this week - http://www.bitdefender.com/toolbox/freeapps/desktop/

I got mail from Bitdefender, they said Bitdefender Free AV still developt by them.
I submitted some bugs and problems to them.

This software just made me spit my coffee this morning laughing.. Working on a friends system, he wanted this installed "of course after i disinfected the system first", i installed it, it has yet to auto-update and the last known update for the program, well.. Obviously was a damn long time ago...lol

Last known update: 12/31/1969
