Not only BD , many Vendors created anti dotes for many Ransom variants.
How ever the only close contender is Dr WEB in the decryption category..Recently My company Network files been encrypted
by Locky 2 nd variant. Real time AV is Mc Afee.
I did contact Dr WEB support. after 1.5 weeks they made it finally with a nominal price. Kudos
Data back up always saves you when everything fails !
Ransomware is only 1% of email-based attacks these days.
And email is the main attack vector.
So don't look for Ransomware protection, 'cause it's only 1% of the problem. Look for MALWARE protection.
Probably not. One of the best ransomware decription tools, according to the tests I've seen on YouTube, belongs to ZoneAlarm. It outscored even Kaspersky and BitDefender.
The best defense for Rasomware is prevention in this case. the best thing is a backup on an external disk.
The other is the default denial, as @RoboMan said.
Sophos seems like the best AV against Ransomware IMO. They have that HMP.A goodness baked in. But whatever, I'm no expert. But I'd use Sophos and VoodooShield or something.
