Is it safe to install mint?

I don't know much but I heard someone put a virus in the download to linux mint. Did they resolve this issue yet?

Downloading from it's original site is the better way to do it. There is a risk with almost every download you do but that can be reduce using only trusted sources.

That issue was fixed really fast. Just download from the official website and you should be fine
