RE: JavaRa 2.0 Alpha

All new Java updates remove the older versions. Unless you're still running XP and haven't checked.

Interesting, I got this.. you could change the Java Schedule settings or launch jucheck.exe located:
Win 64-bit
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jucheck.exe
Win 32-bit
Code:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jucheck.exe

Java 7 isn't a final release, or is it?
Yes, it's final. The JDK has been on version 7 for several months. I have no idea why the JRE didn't move to version 7 at the same time.

RE: JavaRa 2.0 Alpha

I currently just use Java for Minecraft. Once I give Minecraft a break I'll uninstall it.

JavaRa 2.0 Beta 3

JavaRa is a simple tool that does a simple job: it removes old and redundant versions of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Simply select “Check for Updates” or “Remove Older Version” to begin. JavaRa is free under the GNU GPL version two. JavaRa 2.0 (currently under development) will completely automate the deployment, update and removal of JRE on Windows Environments.

Java software in general and the Java JRE in particular; allow you to run applications called ‘applets’ that are written in the Java programming language. You probably have Java JRE installed on your computer because these applets allow you to play online games, chat with people around the world, calculate your mortgage interest, view images in 3D, as well as many others.

JavaRa features:
  • Quickly update JRE
  • Cleans logs and temporary files created by JRE
  • Perform a clean uninstall of JRE
