I've considered it, my wife is pretty dumb when it comes to computers. I usually rely on backups but it's probably not the best idea.
With UAC disabled, there is literally nothing stopping anything on that system from running with full admin rights. I would enable it. Applications such as Shadow Defender would work great for you in this case "protecting your wife" with system wide virtualization, that can be reset by a simple restart of the system.
 
Not sure what this "CyberScrub" is though
going to go give it a look.

Do you have the installer for this application you can link me to, maybe put it on DropBox, MEGA, or whatever service you use and link me to it, I would like to test it and look at it.
If not thats ok.
