Hey guys, I'm Kiwimike. I've been lurking around here for a few years now. I'm quite active and experienced on other forums like Overclock.net, LinusTechTips and also Tek Syndicate.
I would consider myself a malware-analyst though not officially. I started becoming interested in Malware when I was deemed an AVG Hall of Famer back in the day. This was mainly because I assisted people in need of help with their AVG products. The group is very much deteriorated recently, but I'm very much passed that stage.
I've got my CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) degree, and my CompTIA+ and CompTIA+ linux degrees online on my own which may or may not be a good thing.
I wouldn't consider myself knowledgable in all fields, or even in the malware field but my experience with infosec at the consumer threat level has given me wide understanding of the threats consumers face, how antivirus products are built and function (in detail) and how malware works and is designed, this hopefully will allow me to help users on this forum.
I hope I can be somewhat of assistance to anyone on this forum. And hope I can finally be a part of a community that also enjoys infosec hopefully as much as I do.
Thanks, my name is KiwiMike. Just wanted to say hello and thanks for being awesome!
