Battle k9 web filter vs other free filters

what id like to know is there any alternative to k9 as i want stayfocusd with a filter

It just vary on a deliver rate of providing updated blocklist of sites based on categories.

Other program should suppose to perform as reliable since its design for lock down security policy.
