Hope you all enjoyed
Thanks for watching
it acutually did a good job, not great though. However, it has quite poor PUP protection as expectedthanks for the test as allways amd also thanks for the reminder not to buy this overprized piece of russian crap
Interesting test, thanks!
I see that some of the remaining samples, are even not malware, others probably if We sent to KL VirusDesk will not be added/flagged as malicious, and such amount of infected objects (thousands) are even "not real" since MBAM and HMP consider as infected objects every file that belongs to that applications even if they are only no malicious files as gif txt and others files that complement the operation of the application...
Anyway We all know that Kaspersky should improve its PUP/PUA/Adware detection... also even if You did some minor tweaks, still is almost in Default settings, no Application Control tweaks and there are some modules which can prevent installing PUP in some systems areas/browsers as "Application Manager -> System Changes Control" which is also disabled by default.
a lot AVs have weakness at this point, if it's really critical to get rid of PUP, then MBAM is unbeatable, I think...Kaspersky did good but PUP detection needs improvement even though it's a difficult task.
Even programs with very good PUP detection such as ESET and EAM sometimes their PUP detection it's not the best.
Thanks for the review @safe1st
No, no, Unchecky beats all of them Of course in situations when PUP is installed by checking.a lot AVs have weakness at this point, if it's really critical to get rid of PUP, then MBAM is unbeatable, I think...
