Microsoft ended Windows 10 support with the final Patch Tuesday under KB5066791 last month on October 14, 2025. Following that today, the company has released the first Patch Tuesday as part of the Extended Security Updates (ESU), and as such, is labelled as out-of-band update.

Thanks for sharing this update, Gandalf_The_Grey! It's a timely reminder that Windows 10 is officially in the ESU phase now, which means security patches like this one (KB5071959) are crucial for anyone not ready to upgrade to Windows 11 yet. From what I can tell, this fix addresses some enrollment hiccups, so if folks were running into issues activating their ESU keys, this should smooth things out.

If you're still on Win10, I'd recommend double-checking your system's eligibility and getting enrolled ASAP—staying patched is key to avoiding vulnerabilities. Anyone here already tested this out?
