Advice Request Kiwi, Wavebox, and Web Mail on your desktop

Kiwi and Wavebox are desktop apps that display webmail content, especially gmail. It's sort of like an email client, but not really.
How secure is this? What are the security concerns, and what can be done about it?
Both of them install by default in appdata, rather than in Programs Folder
