while I was waiting for your comment, I asked chatgpt to compare various uninstallers and Geek Pro ranked very highly, and it's only $24 US for lifetime, so expect I will get it, I have used the free in the past... and never had an issue with it.

Note that the paid version was not created by the same developer; rather, it was created by a company that took the free version and built upon it. If you would like, you can try Smarty Uninstaller, which was a paid software before the developer decided to make it free. It takes a snapshot before and after the app installation process so that it can restore the system when you uninstall the app later.

Again, I don't really see a big value in the pro version so I personally wouldn't recommend it. But it is up to you of course. The free version is just so simple and that's what I like. No bloat, just the features that you expect.

I like the idea of tracing the install (when it works the way you'd hope it would -- that remains to be seen ie experienced)

I too like & use Geek Uninstaller, for me the Pro version ended up being worth it for me to use the install tracking, but its always a personal choice, free or pro they both good though !
