RE: kuva's config

Looks good. Don't know much about Kaspersky so can't help you there. Only thing that I can see that you could add is Lastpass for Google Chrome, other than that it looks good.

RE: kuva's config

Your config looks good. To extend protection think about adding a second opinion scanner such as Hitman Pro or Malwarebytes Antimalware and changing the browser to Comodo Dragon which is also Chromium based and much more secure than Chrome.

i have to disagree. Dragon is a good browser but just add a secure DNS. and a link checker with some privacy options.

Chrome has a sandbox, built-in pdf reader/flash player and a do-not- track module; also security holes are fixed faster than Dragon.

Yeah. That's what I had in mind. When you install Dragon there's an option to choose SecureDNS. :)

RE: kuva's config

I am going to be fully honest here. Considering risk of infection from OP is low, there is no need really to have MBAM/HMP since RT is KIS. Also OP has Sanboxie which should really lower the security risk even further.

Sure it would help but not required.

Instead, what settings to do you have for KIS?

KLMALWAREHUNTER posted a guide for some settings tweaks, as well as Jack had previously done a guide for KIS 2012.

One question: What version of Revo Uninstaller you are using? since you are on x64 OS, you should really use Pro. If you are using the free version, switch to IObit Uninstaller since it is fully compatible with both architectures as well as is portable and does not require installation and is free.

MBAM = Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, a on-demand scanner to scan and clean infected PCs.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

HMP = HitmanPro, a second-opinion cloud-based on-demand scanner used to clean up infected PCs.
http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro

Feedback: "Advanced" PC literacy skill applies to other areas of the PC, not security?
