The ntoskrnl.exe error is often related to memory issues. You could try updating your drivers, scanning for malware, or checking your RAM for errors. If these don't work, you may need to reinstall Windows 11. Always back up your data before making major changes.

My laptop is constantly crashing with a blue screen and ntoskrnl.exe error.. any idea what is happening and how to cure it.. thanks.
The ntoskrnl.exe BSOD is usually related to memory, possibly caused by a faulty driver. It is suggested that you run the following memory test to verify your memory and find out which driver is causing the problem.
Click Start button, then type Windows Memory Diagnostic in the search box and hit Enter.
Click Restart now and check for problems(recommended). Be sure to save your work first because your computer will start immediately.
Your computer will restart and the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool screen will appear. Just let it perform the test. You don’t need to stay and watch the test finishes.
Your computer will automatically reboot and return to the Windows desktop. The test result will show up after you log in. If the result doesn’t show up automatically, you can check it manually.
Press Win+ R at the same time, then type in eventvwr.msc and hit Enter. Click System option under category Windows Logs on the left pane. On the right pane, click Find….
Type MemoryDiagnostic in the search box and hit Enter, you will be able to see the result displayed at the bottom of the window.
If the result of your memory diagnose shows that there are certain drivers are at fault, or that you see some error, you have bad RAM. It is very likely that you need to get your RAM changed. If you don’t see anything here, your memory is good.

If Memory Diagnostics came back with no errors, then let's try another workaround. If you have antivirus softwares installed on your PC, recommend uninstalling them. Check for available driver updates as well and install them.

Do as you have been told. Enable memory dumps and run WC when needed.

What are the specs, brand and model of the lap?

The ntoskrnl.exe error on Windows is a blue screen of death (BSOD) error that indicates a problem with the Windows kernel. The kernel is the core of the operating system, and ntoskrnl.exe is a critical file that is responsible for many important functions.

Possible causes of the ntoskrnl.exe error include:

Corrupt or missing system files:
This can be caused by a virus, a failed Windows update, or a hardware problem.

Faulty RAM: Bad RAM can cause all sorts of problems, including BSOD errors.

Problematic Windows update: A recent Windows update may have introduced a bug that is causing the error.

Missing or outdated drivers: Drivers are software that allow your hardware to communicate with Windows. If your drivers are outdated or missing, it can cause the ntoskrnl.exe error.

Overclocking: Overclocking your CPU or GPU can make your system unstable and cause BSOD errors.

Hardware problems: Other hardware problems, such as a failing hard drive or a faulty motherboard, can also cause the ntoskrnl.exe error.

Troubleshooting steps:

Run a memory test:
This will check your RAM for errors. You can use the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool or a third-party tool like Memtest86.

Run the System File Checker: This will scan for and repair corrupt system files. To do this, open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow.

Update your drivers: Make sure all your drivers are up to date. You can do this through Device Manager or by visiting the websites of your hardware manufacturers.

Uninstall problematic Windows updates: If you recently installed a Windows update and you started experiencing the error, try uninstalling it.

Reset overclocking settings: If you have overclocked your CPU or GPU, reset the settings to their default values.

Perform a System Restore: If the error started recently, try restoring your system to a point before the error occurred.

Check your hard drive for errors: You can use the CHKDSK command to check your hard drive for errors. To do this, open a command prompt as administrator and type chkdsk /f.

Contact your computer manufacturer: If you have tried all of the above steps and you are still experiencing the error, you may need to contact your computer manufacturer for assistance.

Additional tips:

If you are able to boot into Windows, you can try running a blue screen troubleshooter. This can be found in the Settings app under Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

If you are unable to boot into Windows, you can try booting into Safe Mode. This will start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services, which may help you troubleshoot the problem.

If you are still unable to resolve the error, you may need to reinstall Windows. This will erase all of the data on your hard drive, so be sure to back up your important files first.
