Hello,
I agree with the others, you should'nt risk to test malware on your host. If you look at the malware hub, you can see that document encryption occurs sometimes. (please, have a look to cruelsister1 video on youtube ;))

You should not be testing malware on your Host PC!
What version of ESET are you running?
Please consider an on demand scanner(s) other than your real time protection.
Please edit your config accordingly.
