None really, don't install apps (have only 1 page with apps I use) and only use whatsapp for communication (not as social media) and linkedin for business, no (other) social media.
What I'm looking for?

Looking for medium feedback.

NetGuard looks like it could be good. I'll look forward to your sharing experience with it. (y)
I really like the options to block mobile and allow wireless. It has also options to allow national roaming and EU roaming. For me a pensionado travelling a lot that really works well (I have to allow roaming on all networks for my data bundle extra eSim).

So it seems to be designed for people living in the EU (in the EU we get national tariffs no matter which EU country you are in).

I don't know whether state tariffs differ for mobile in the US or US citizens have cheaper tariffs in the US-CAN-MEX economical zone (or what is left over from it with Trump import taxes). So the advantage for me using a SIM in the EU and eSIM outside, might not be as obvious for non EU citizens.

@LinuxFan58

Congratulations on your setup.

This is the smartphone my wife and I both want to buy on the next Black Friday.
I’d recommend setting up a Private DNS service like ControlD DNS - Custom Configuration, which you’ll configure via DNS-over-TLS according to your needs:

If you then use DOH in your browser, as you know, this will override the Private DNS you’ve set up at the system level.

Sorry forget to mention using Quad9 as DNS.

@Sampei Nihira.
I used Quad9 as private DNS, but felt back to automatic, because my eSim sometimes had trouble connecting. That is why I use Quad9 as DOH.

I bought the A56 just after its introduction. Initial reviews said it was a meager upgrade. Soon telecom operators started to dump the devices and I got it for real cheap (only 1.5 euro more per month than the A36 with bonus GB's). It was actuallty 6 euro's cheaper per month than my A54 with 15GB instead (A56) of 7GB per month (A54)..

I like it, everything runs smoothly

Did you take that picture today? :oops:
What are you doing at the Kalta Minor minaret?
On vacation?
Yes, holiday, 2 weeks backpacking during spring (May) holiday in Netherlands, no classes :-)

The bonus of keep working after retirement (besides the big plus of teaching youngster my old profession and seeing some of them really got a talent for it, but you know how much fun that is)
