kingsoft free antivirus English version is no longer in development but their Chinese version is still updated........likewise, I don't recommend outpost security free, it hasn't been updated for a while.....

Thanks for the list; some products are outdated since years like outpost free or kingsoft, some are still in beta since years like nano, some are so unknown like Xvirus, senvira..lol

This website, apparently uniquely, claims to have a 2014 version (presumably English) of Kingsoft Antivirus. http://allsoftdownload.com/anti-virus/kingsoft-antivirus-2014-free-download-2/
But when I tested the download link, I got :

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /dde/340/1045/kav_setup.exe on this server."

Softpedia has a 2013 update of what's still called Kingsoft Antivirus 2012. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Kingsoft-Free-Antivirus.shtml

I love Kingsoft PC Doctor. But the English language support website for PC Doctor and Kingsoft Antivirus has been totally abandoned by Kingsoft to an army of spammers who post voluminous amounts daily. The English language page where they sell their office products makes no mention of PC Doctor and the AV.

This is strange, because Kingsoft Antivirus has been appearing in the bigtime AV testing quite a bit lately. It's a product with some appeal because it's getting high detection ratings, it has a strong anti-hacking component, and it is made to be compatible with other antiviruses. But there's no English language webpage for Kingsoft AV and no support forum.

I guess non-Chinese speakers should leave it alone. However, if there are any English-language Kingsoft Antivirus users on Malware Tips it would be interesting to hear from them.

IObit Malware Fighter Free is antispyware rather than antivirus, and its realtime protection is only partial; you have to get the pro version for full-fledged realtime antispyware.

One you can add to the list : ClamWin/Clam Sentinel. Clam Sentinel is a companion open source program that was developed to provide genuine realtime protection with ClamWin.
