Does anyone here know of any good deals for tablets?
I want to buy my 8 year old daughter a decent tablet not too expensive but not an el cheapo either.
Thanks for any help

I'm not judging, but a Nintendo DS would be better in my opinion.

Try to find some sales which made it really worth to buy tablet.

For that price, I'd go an extra $20 an get the Google Nexus 7. Bought mine last fall and have had zero issues---it always works right, unlike Windows.

What's the difference in Jelly bean and ICS?

Something else to consider - does it have a HDMI outlet so you can plug it into your TV. Sadly, my Google Nexus doesn't, but I do have a ROKU streamer so not a big deal.

No, but why would it be needed? :D

@Overkill:

The JB update mostly focuses on performance improvements. It is much smoother compared to ICS.

Beware if you are bringing a tablet. :P We may use it in times when we shouldn't use them :D : http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Why-get-a-7-inch-Tablet-PC
