I am a user of both inkjet and laser printers, here is my experience. :D

Inkjet Printers are cheap to buy, even the ones that print coloured pages, but expensive to maintain. You can get one for a very cheap price, but the ink is expensive (about half the price of the printer) and needs replacement everytime you print about 200 pages.

Laser Printers are expensive, we got one which only prints black in colour for almost 2.5 of the price of the inkjet one. But I was able to print 1500 pages with a single cartridge.

So that depends, are you going to print too much or not?

As for brands, I'm not a fan of Lexmark, but I've had good experiences with both Epson and Canon.

Here is the official link: https://m.hpdirect.com/hp/product/detail.do?itemId=CH340A%23B1H&categoryId=1750397&path=Home%257CPrinters%257CDeskjet%257CHP%2BDeskjet%2B1000%2BPrinter%2B-%2BJ110a

It prints approximately 190 black pages and 165 coloured pages per one cartridge. Is that enough?

Printers are pretty cheap but the ink is expensive. I found it is a lot cheaper to use an online virtual printer at Staples in my area.

Many cities have office supply stores that have an online website when you can upload your files to their virtual printer. You can pick up the copies in their store or have them mailed to you much cheaper then trying to maintain the costs of the ink. Other office supply stores allow you to make copies from USB devices. Just copy what you want to print on USB device and take it to the store and they will print it for you.

It fits my needs perfect, I got tired of always having to buy expensive ink and the cheap ink just will destroy your printer. You still have to clean the printer all the time and if you let it set for a extended period the irk goes bad and you have to buy more. It the printer messes up a copy, then it is just wasted money on ink and paper. Office supply store don't charge you for messed up copies. Unless you plan to print a lot of copies frequently, might be wise to check out the office supply stores in your area.

Thanks.:D
