Our Lumia 930 died last night. It was running stable Windows 10 Mobile.

Initially it we thought the battery drained and would recharge overnight, but nothing improved. This morning we found the Lumia 930 dead. We had to take it off Life Support.

It was far worse than we had expected.

Fortunately we keep our previous phones, currently have the Lumia 925 running Windows Phone 8.1.

Getting a replacement tomorrow morning.

Important Tips:

If you use a Windows Phone or 10 Mobile and haven't already:
- Sync your Contacts with your Outlook/Hotmail (or other Online Accounts)
- Backup your Photos and Videos to OneDrive (or other services)
- Backup your SMS / Messaging apps data to OneDrive.
- Backup data files to OneDrive (or other Cloud services)

Windows 10 Mobile is not reliable and has caused a lot of headaches to get the most simple tasks to work. Look online to see other issues that have not been fixed from months ago.

As long as you are getting a free replacement it's fine i guess. Phone dying it's something that can happen with any brand. As long as it's not exploiting on your face you are fine.
The important part is backup as you mentioned. If you have that let the company deal with the fallback.

There's a lot of that going around with Windows 10...

We're Microsoft's guinea pigs - that is all there is to it.

My provider doesn't allow even the Windows 10 mobile upgrade. Also from everything I read the quality of the pictures really suffers anyway, so who needs it?

@Spawn
I used windows 10 mobile since it was released and never had any problems. I just did a hard reset after upgrading and all worked fine, except for minor bugs that got fixed over time. I am very happy with my lumia 640lte. My only complain is the app gap, but so far I only miss a few games that aren't on windows store.

@Dani Santos Hard reset was done last year, twice, just to get Windows 10 Mobile to work smoothly. But this time it would not recharge.

@J Gamez065 Posted under Smartphones and Tablets for a reason. ;)

Well I'm not afraid for possible circumstances on my Lumia 625, remember that any non-removable battery when totally overused hence the life cycle deteriorates until die.

So usually it depends on how you use the phone several times.

After using the phone for 1 month, our replacement Lumia 930 running Windows Phone 8 died, again!

There's no blinking Windows logo light, nothing. Tried leaving on charge for several hours and nothing.

Will be demanding for a non-Lumia phone from our Mobile Operator.

If it's not Windows 10 Mobile, or Windows Phone 8.1, then could it be the power charger?

It's possible this could be why, maybe there was a problem with the charger and the battery ended up breaking somehow?

Maybe try replace the battery/charger and re-try, but maybe it's not even worth it.. I'd just get a different phone if I were you, since this is the second one you got for it and it just broke again :(

How did you manage to get a replacement? Replacement is possible only with products those have warranty right?

On contract, we get refurb models.

The power cable was faulty, switched to wireless charging.

You mean to say you were in contract with the retailers? So they had promised you for a replacement if any thing goes wrong even after the warranty period had finished?

I also own a Lumia 730 but have been facing a issue that sometime it automatically restarts while operating or when its idle. I had replaced my sim in order to fix this issue but the problem remains. This has made me a lot uncomfortable in my tasks. Is there a possibility for a replacement of my phone? BYW the warranty has been expired.

I wouldn't been able to say, but since your warranty has expired you may need to pay for the repairs or buy a newer phone.
