Privacy - Image Storage
Images uploaded to the site for editing purposes are temporarly cached and stored on the server. Images automatically deleted after your editing session is over, however, they may be stored for longer times if you choose "hosting" or "sharing" options. They are not automatically shared. You may delete your temporarly images immediately by choosing File -> Close File and confirming deletion.​

If privacy was important, why would anyone want to use an online image editor :D Nothing is more private than being offline.

Yes but if you use an online image editor,which I imagine many do, this features encryption/decryption of your images as many others don't have this feature
