Malware Hunter in training

Hi All

I was introduced to this forum by Umbra from one of my posts at Wilders Security.

I'm in the process of creating an ultra locked down (yet still practical) and secure Windows 10 desktop for home use using *no* third party applications and only using the built in tools Windows offers. Hopefully no-ones laughing while reading this since I said "secure" and "Windows" in the same sentence I'm also keen on privacy so have tweaked many settings relating to this as well.

So I'm about 90% complete with my setup in a test VM currently and wanted to learn more about Malware on this forum and ultimately run some Malware in my test VM to see how well it succeeds/fails to see what needs to be improved or changed.

Looking forward to this and I'll post some more details about my setup in the next couple days.

Don't hang around with Umbra too much though - if you do, be warned of adverse effects that may or may not include lockdown of one's pets and family members, perhaps even one's cookie boxes in cupboards.
