If you are noticing slow startup issue while trying to launch Adobe Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Office apps or printing from Google Chrome web browser in your Windows 11 device, you are not alone. This startup delay problem is caused by Malwarebytes anti-malware program and this article will help you in fixing the issue.

The newer versions of Malwarebytes anti-malware software (5.2 and later) contain a very serious compatibility issue with Windows 11 24H2 that causes slow startup when opening certain programs such as Adobe Reader and MS Office apps.

We are actively investigating and working with Microsoft on performance issues related to the Windows 2024 Update (Windows 11 version 24H2). Users may experience a delay in startup when launching Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel, Adobe Reader, or when printing from Chrome browser.
The Malwarebytes team has also mentioned that a fix for this issue is currently targeted for November 14, 2024 release.
