MalwareTips has a similar layout to Reddit in the way that you can browse posts by new, popular, and other subcategories. Users will share news related to privacy and security with links to various publications around the web. You also have easy access to cybersecurity news if you click on the News tab.
MalwareTips lets you browse forum posts based on both security and tech news. The forum has a few news-related posts per day on average, but you won’t necessarily see daily content. Nonetheless, it’s worth checking out once per week to stay updated with what’s going on. Besides reading the forum’s posts, you can reduce your chances of infecting your device by understanding the most common sources of malware.

This is not strange to me because it is now part of Valnet, which is similar to Avast in its business model but in publishing and media sector, but the writers are freelancers and have their own views.

I find they often have useful information when researching an issue.

I didn't know. I visited that site and somewhat ironically, it showed a very nice result. LOL.

Conduct a thorough analysis of the source rather than accepting it superficially.

No blocklist matches, no threats detected, WHOIS data accessible.

Unfortunately, political views these days affect everything, not just security products.

I noticed this too.
And that's totally expected. Because politics affects every single aspect of our lives whether we liked it or not. The sooner people realize this, the better.

Why are we checking this website for malware? Are we really that paranoid?

MUO is trusted website, founded in 2007. When you stumble on some issue, one of the first results on Google is exactly this website. Helped me many, many times.

But it wasn't about Phishing or Malware, just ads and trackers blocked?

This isn't paranoia; it's security awareness.

The questionable source provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how to critically evaluate information beyond surface level."

I addressed both points in my previous response.
