Fortunately, only my desktop on the computer seems to be infected. I can run fine on the other user accounts. On mine only, I have a dllhost.exe (NOT *32) process that runs from startup and uses about 40MB memory. Once I use the internet connection, I start spawning multiple dllhost.exe*32 processes that consume most of the CPU and memory (screenshot attached.)
I ran all the tools recommended in the guide: Adwcleaner, tdsskiller, roguekiller, Junkware Removal Tool, Hitman Pro, Emsisoft, etc. All those were run in safe mode from another user account on the same computer, NOT on my affected desktop, in case that makes a difference.
A couple of them found threats to remove, some of the removal attempts gave errors. Unfortunately I don't have any logs from those steps. In any case, once I went back to my desktop, things seemed to work okay, even with IE using the internet, until the first time I fired up Chrome, and all the symptoms returned.
So attached is my FRST log (I had run it before, and cannot find any sign of addition.txt). I appreciate the help with this, and will do my job of participating in this thread until we get to the end
